Public photos/albums will be publicly viewable if featured by our editors and may be indexed by search engines. Each image is still accessible via its own URL. Private photos are not searchable within Pic2Map, and can't be viewed by anyone other than the user who uploaded the photo/album. Pic2Map provides 2 levels of privacy for uploaded photos. None of this information is "personal data" that is, data we could use to identify a specific person. We also keep a record of photo uploaders IP address which enable us to comply with copyright law, fight with illegal content, and to respond to lawful requests by public authorities, including national security, courts, and law enforcement. We store EXIF data and original filename for the photo in our database. Newer mobile phones and cameras with geotagging ability also store this information within a file's EXIF data. This data can include date, time, camera settings, and possible copyright information. ![]() EXIF stands for Exchangeable Image File, and the data provided can be stored to JPEG, RAW and TIFF image file formats. When you upload a photo to Pic2Map, our software automatically analyzes EXIF data of the picture. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. ![]() The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track users movement around the site.
